this stretch of road is an eerie reminder for one bay area mom. not a day goes by that ana reynoso doesn't think about her twin boys know every day, and i celebrate them every day as if they were still alive. michael and mark and a third teen, javier ramirez junior, died on christmas night in 2021 on foothill road as they were driving to help a friend. the twins were 16 at the time. this morning, ana heard that another family died on the same road on wednesday night. ana calls the news triggering. it was shocking and emotional. yeah, it's, very emotional. you just. your heart breaks, she had really hit the foothill on foothill road. the coroner has not released the names of the victims. only saying they were a family of two adults and two children under 15. investigators say speed could have played a role as the car hit the curb. and then a big oak tree before bursting into flames. police also identify the car as a vinfast electric vehicle

now for a look across the bay area this morning, and you know it's been a little bit of a mixed bag. let's check in with daryn for your forecast. ><<>okay with more breaks of blue sky. today is the marine layer begins to loosen its grip. it's only going to be replaced by higher clouds today and you can see this on the future cast. it's kind of a mixed bag. those higher clouds are coming from a system that's dropping a little bit of rain right now off the far northwest coast, and it's going to try and bring some rain here. so just to show you how likely that is. here is thursday night. few showers. they don't really amount to much if we even get them, and it's really more about breaking up the clouds today than anything else. but here's friday friday, there's a little bit more in the way of rain. and if you look towards our east, there's a pretty good line. of convective showers. maybe even an isolated thunderstorm moving through the central valley tomorrow. but it appears to be a little too far east to be of concern here. look at that. that's really more blue sky here at home in no r
